This conference brings together 100 middle school STEM teachers of all experience levels to share best practices, troubleshoot challenges, and learn more about Society for Science and STEM research competitions for middle school students.
Washington, D.C., usually the last weekend of September or first weekend of October
This is a weekend of peer-led professional development. The conference focuses on leading students in research projects that can be entered in local science fair, Thermo-Fisher JIC, eCybermission, and other STEM research competitions.
If you are chosen to attend the conference, your airfare, lodging, and meals are covered by Society for Science.
Must be employed full-time by a middle school in the United States
Must teach a STEM course to students in at least one grade between 6th and 8th
OR serve in another role enabling you to promote STEM to students in these grades
Must work directly with students (If you work with teachers, please invite them to sign up.)
