Sponsoring a Community Award

Frequently Asked Questions Community Sponsors

Please reach us at ssvecyouthprograms@ssvec.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes!  We offer business and community members the opportunity to sponsor YES Fair Awards.  The minimum dollar amount for these awards is $150.  In some cases, such as The Huachucans, sponsorships of larger dollar amounts support YES Fair College Scholarships for high school seniors who have participated in YES Fair over multiple years.

You may divide your award in any way you wish, giving money only to the student(s), or the student(s) and teachers. We do encourage Community Award Sponsors to assign some dollars for the teacher because often they work overtime to assist students with their projects and sometimes they chip in their own personal money to make sure their students have the supplies they need.

No.  In all cases, it is the project that is awarded and any money you award will be divided among all team members for that project.  There is a maximum of three students per team.

Our Community Award Sponsors may come to the awards ceremony and present their award to the students and/or mentoring teacher.  In addition, the sponsor will receive logo representation on this website, recognition in the award program and slide show.  They will also receive at least one shout out on social media.  More social media presence is available for larger donation amounts.

If you prefer, you may come to the fair on judging day and choose the project you would like to award.   There are a lot of projects to look through to select an awardee.  The process could take 2-3 hours.  If you prefer, our judges can choose a project based on the criteria you provide.
