Teacher Microgrants

Please read thoroughly before applying for funding through this site.  There are different sites to apply for funding in 2025, depending on where you teach.

                           SSVEC funded the mini-grant programs of the Cochise Education Foundation 

and the Education Foundation of Sierra Vista.

Cochise County Teachers

Teachers within Cochise County and within the SSVEC service area may apply for a teacher Mini Grant through the Cochise Education Foundation (CEF).  Unsure if this is your school?  Just ask your administration which company provides the electricity for the school.  If it is SSVEC, your school is in the SSVEC service area. Please call 520-803-3380 for information about application open and close dates.

Sierra Vista USD Teachers

Teachers within Sierra Vista USD may apply for an “Inspiration Boost” through the Education Foundation of Sierra Vista.  Applications will be accepted in early August – mid October at www.educationfoundationsv.org/inspogrants.

All Other Teachers

If you are a teacher within the SSVEC service area, but outside of Cochise County and Sierra Vista USD, please apply through this site when applications are open.

The teachers are the stewards of these projects, not the owners.  Although issued in the teacher's name, grant funds are to be used for the benefit of the classroom and/or school in which the project was allocated.  Teachers are required to leave all project materials and supplies with the school if employment is severed for any reason. 

 All grant recipients are required to submit copies of their receipts which total the amount of dollars awarded.  Documentation photos of the project are also requested.  If the project changes in scope or cost, please consult with the SSVEC Foundation Board before proceeding.  If the project is delayed more than six months, please notify the SSVEC Foundation and provide an explanation for the delay so we may accurately document your project's progress.
