Educational Entity Grants

About Educational Entity Grants

Eligibility

Schools and 501c3 educational entities serving students within the SSVEC service area are eligible to apply for a grant from the SSVEC Foundation. Educational entity grants support larger-scale educational initiatives or projects.

How Much Can We Apply For?

One-time grants of up to $40,000 are available for qualifying organizations and schools.

In addition, one $150,000 jumbo grant is available for a winning and qualified project of merit.

Educational entities may submit up to 2 projects for consideration per phase.

All programs and projects should be a transformative education initiative with lasting impact.

Recipients must agree to permit SSVEC to highlight the recipient’s accomplishments and grant funding program in print and other media. Educational Entity organizations and schools can submit applications for both phases of the Educational Entity Grant Program.

How Do We Apply?

Applications for 2025 are closed.

How to Write a Grant Proposal for SSVEC

What Key Points Should Our Grant Application Address?

What makes this project innovative or special? Is it a new idea or a tried and true concept?

Why is the project needed? What is the justification for doing your project?

Does the project align with the goals of your organization?

What area of education does the project address? (ex: curriculum, STEM, art, technology, etc.)

Feasibility of the project: Are there enough dollars, man-power, time, etc., to successfully complete the project?

Efficiency and completeness of your plan (including budgets, drawings, photos, etc.)

How will the success of your project be measured?

Will the project be sustainable beyond initial grant funding?

If My Organization Receives Funding, What Are Our Obligations?

All grant recipients are required to submit copies of their receipts which total the amount of dollars awarded.  Documentation photos of the project are also requested.  If the project changes in scope or cost, the entity is asked to consult with the SSVEC Foundation Board before proceeding.  If the project is delayed more than six months, please notify the SSVEC Foundation and provide an explanation for the delay so we may accurately document your project's progress.
