Educational Entity Grants

About Educational Entity Grants

2026 Eligibility

Schools and 501c3 educational entities serving students within the SSVEC service area are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $150,000 from the SSVEC Foundation. Educational entity grants support larger-scale educational initiatives or projects.

How Much Can We Apply For?

Grant funding UP TO $150,000 is available for qualifying organizations and schools.

Qualifying projects of merit must support educational initiatives within the SSVEC service area.

All programs and projects should be a transformative education initiative with lasting impact.

Recipients must agree to permit SSVEC to highlight the recipient’s accomplishments and grant funding program in print and other media.

Where Can We Find the Application?

Download the PDF Guidelines and sample grant proposal at the bottom of this page.  There is no fillable form in 2026.

If My Organization Receives Funding, What Are Our Obligations?

Grant recipients are required to submit copies of their receipts which total the amount of dollars awarded.  Documentation photos of the project are also requested.  If the project changes in scope or cost, the entity is asked to consult with the SSVEC Foundation Board before proceeding.  If the project is delayed more than six months, please notify the SSVEC Foundation and provide an explanation for the delay so we may accurately document your project's progress.

Frequently Asked questions

Download the PDF document at the bottom of this page to view 2026 Grant Guidelines.  A sample grant proposal is also included in this document. There is no fillable form to submit in 2026.

Schools and organizations may apply for up to two grants in 2026.  If submitting two grant proposals, they must be for stand alone, completely separate projects.

No. We encourage organizations to apply for their needs, not ballon a project for show.  In many cases, smaller grants are used to fill in gaps in available funding when larger grants do not fit within our remaining funding budget.

Our SSVEC Foundation Board has approved a funding budget of $500,000 in 2026.

The best projects start with the project goals and needs and create a budget around those goals and needs.  Therefore, having a larger budget will not hurt your project.  However, organizations sometimes pad a budget sheet in order to request the maximum dollar amount.  These budget sheets often appear over-inflated, so please exercise common sense when putting your proposal and budget together.

Applications must be received no later than September 1, 2026 by 11:59 PM.  You may submit the proposal anytime before the deadline, however grant funding decisions will not be made until September .

You may submit your proposal in either MS Word or a PDF format

Yes, however all pieces of your proposal must be integrated into one document and sent as one email attachment.  Multiple attachments will not be accepted.

Email your completed grant proposal to foundationgrants@ssvec.com

For questions, email ssvecyouthprograms@ssvec.com

If your organization is awarded, you can expect to receive funds in October/November.  We may ask for additional documentation of your 501c3 status before releasing funds.

Please email ssvecyouthprograms@ssvec.com or call 520-515-3472 for questions.
