Outstanding Initiative Award

  For the first time, SSVEC presented an Outstanding Initiative Award, recognizing a student who demonstrated exceptional initiative, determination, and commitment throughout the competition.

George Woodley, Center for Academic Success. 

George consistently went above and beyond by asking thoughtful questions, seeking additional information, communicating with program coordinators, and taking proactive steps to understand expectations, meet deadlines, and improve his performance.

His dedication and willingness to take ownership of his success exemplify the leadership qualities the Washington Youth Tour program strives to encourage.

These three students will be moving forward to compete for the Arizona Youth Leadership Council position.  If chosen to represent Arizona (to be decided in June), the winner will represent Arizona on the National Rural Electric Cooperative’s Youth Leadership Council along with 40+ delegates from other states around the country.
